What is a reset?

A Minecraft server reset is when the server player data files get completely deleted and cleared. This includes a players inventory, money balance, ender-chest, and anything else. As well as any worlds or builds.

Why do servers reset?

The reason resets are crucial to any functioning Minecraft server is because player data files get very large. Server world files get very large, and lag builds up over time. As files get built up over time this causes crashes, plugins to break, disks becoming full. This can lead to many bad consequences.

What if I don't want my data to be reset?

While the majority of players enjoy server resets. We understand a small amount of players do not. However, server resets are a fundamental part of any server. There is no Minecraft server that doesn't reset, unless they are strictly vanilla. We kindly ask you be polite about your opinion if you choose to voice it. As much as we hate to, we commonly have to permanently ban players who are toxic or disrespectful to staff, players, or the server in-general during a new season.

What if I spent money on the store?

Our digital items are exclusively available for seasonal purchases only, once a season ends these items will not be restored or carried forward to the next season. While we cannot compensate for non-rank related items, we encourage you to explore and rebuy other purchases that will be introduced in each new season. Your support of Valatic through purchases in our store go directly towards the server's upkeep and development, ensuring that all players get an enjoyable gaming environment and community.

Will we get compensation?

The practice of compensation is somewhat unique for Valatic. Compensation has been done in the past for several reasons. Unless otherwise specified by Justabluejay or someone else who is authorized, compensations will not be given. If compensation is given, there will be rules and time limits specified in the announcements in our .

A server closed, what happens now?

Sadly a server has closed. There are many reasons for this to happen and may include popularity, bugs, revenue, or future plans. This is not unique to Valatic and happens from time to time.

Do we get money back?

Valatic does not do refunds. This is inline with the Terms Of Purchase when you check out. Most purchases are seasonal except purchased Premium Ranks (unless otherwise specified). Seasonal means it was for the season the item was purchased in.

What about compensation

Unforeseen Server Issues

Sadly despite server maintenance and care, something beyond our control has happened. This can include but is not limited to : hardware failure, plugin update errors, Minecraft related problems, etc.

What happens next?

Depending on the scope of the problem, or the cause, we will begin to identify the problem, attempt to fix or mitigate it, and restore as much as we can. We unfortunately cannot compensate for player error or bugs that are not able to be verified/reproduced.

What if Servers cant be fixed / restored?

If we can not restore, fix, or bring the server back up due to data loss, corruption, or other unforeseen reasons, there will be Announcements in our Discord that will keep players updated. If data can not be saved, the server can be relaunched as if a new season has begun. Sometimes data loss is incomplete but we are unable to foresee what can or can not be saved in such an event.

What about our purchases?

The practice of compensation is somewhat unique for Valatic. Compensation has been done in the past for several reasons. Unless otherwise specified by Justabluejay or someone else who is authorized, compensations will not be given. If compensation is given, there will be rules and time limits specified in the announcements on our .

Depending on what or if anything was lost during the unforeseen server issue; players will be notified on our on the possibility of, or the process for compensation after Valatic Servers are back online.
